Terms of use — lab equipment and stock

  1. Your account is yours. Do not share your password. Everything checked out or logged under your name is your responsibility until it is checked in.
  2. Check out before you take. Assets leave the lab only through a request approved by an admin, and stock only through a check-out in this system. Return what you borrowed by the expected date, or ask for an extension.
  3. Return it as you got it. Report damage, missing accessories or faults at check-in in the note. Never move equipment to a different location without recording it.
  4. Consumables are shared. Log what you use so the next person is not left short; tell an admin when a consumable runs low.
  5. Company data stays on company devices. Do not copy data off laptops, storage media or test equipment, and do not install unapproved software.
  6. The audit trail is kept. Every check-out, check-in and change is recorded with your name and time, and admins can see it.
